Januray 10 and 11, 2008

Students were to do a worksheet and study information about Southeast Asia countries. Students could use the worksheet when doing the test on these days. I did provide time in class for students to complete these sheets, so they may have said that they finished the work in school. You can check by their quiz grade for that day. I am returning them today (January 15 and 16).

Janurary 17 and 18, 2008

Students created a worksheet which I typed up and handed back to them. They will have thirty minutes Tuesday or Wednesday to work on it in class but as I told them it should take overall about an hour an a half. That gives them at least an hour of homework between Monday and Thursday. Questions are answered from the book, Chapters 11 and 12 on Southeast Asia.

January 31 and February 1, 2008

Student complete worksheet on Chapters 13 and 14.

Bring completed worksheet into class on that day.

February 7 and 8, 2008

Student complete worksheet about East Asia (from Geography Coloring Book)

Bring completed worksheet into class on that day.

February 18 and 19: Due Monday February 25, 2008

Student investigates one aspect of East Asia culture and may bring in an artifact

Student should spend at least one hour on this assignment

Look at one of the following

February 26: Due Monday, March 3rd

Choose a topic and create an outline for a 2 to 5 minute educational movie on some subject that deals with the Far East.

You may work alone or in pairs. Take some aspect of Asian Culture. Do some investigation on it and write an outline on how you would organize and teach someone about this subject. I foresee that the students will narrate a little movie about the subject. Please see the model presentation, also done by a student.

Due March 11 and 12

Put your outline into logical list in preparation for creating your storyboard. First tell what the subject is, then create a logical sequence of telling the story of your subject. It may use a timeline type formate or somthing that logically instructs or gives information about your subject.

Due Monday March 17

Complete your Storyboard.

Come in ready to your script.

Due Thursday/ Friday- April 24 or 25

Finish researching your poster. Bring all the materials necessary to finish your poster.

Due Monday, May 19

Finish Chapter 22 Worksheet

Thursday/ Friday - May 22-23

Study for Test on South America
