Lagaan Plot Summary

Part 1: A Look at the Village of Champaner and Gauri looks for a husband.

Part 2: Bhuvan gets in trouble with Captain Andrew Russell and the bet is made.

Part 3: Both villagers and outsiders from the province are angry at Buvhan.

Part 4: Villagers are gradually converted to support then join the game.

Part 5: Elizabeth Russell decides to help the villagers

Part 6: A series of outsiders join the game:

            a. The Muslim, Ismail

            b. The Sikh, Ram Singh

            c. The Untouchable, Bagha

Part 7: Captain Russell enlists the help of Lakhia and forbids his sister to help the village
